Apostle & Senior Pastor
A life consecrated to make full proof of the vision
and mission given to him, which is, to restore the lost
truths that satan stole from the church of Jesus Christ.
Apostle Austin J de Bourg, Founder and Senior Pastor
of Trinidad Christian Center, was chosen by God for
the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for
the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry.
God’s call came to Apostle Austin J de Bourg
in 1980 while on a 400 mile drive from San Francisco
to Los Angeles. As he drove along the long stretch of
freeway and admired the majestic beauty of God’s
creation, he reflected on the privilege God had allowed
him; to travel to many countries and to be a part of
many cultures with their corresponding social life.
At that instance his mind went back to his place of
birth, Trinidad. He had returned three months earlier
from his first missionary journey that lasted three
years.
The many and varied experiences of those three years
replayed before him in the realm of the spirit, as God
was making an assessment of his work there. For the
most part, the accomplishments over the preceding three
years were rewarding yet he felt a deep sense of God’s
dissatisfaction with the spiritual condition of the
Church. The Church needed to be mature and productive.
This was the turning point for Austin J de Bourg as
God gave him a vision of his future ministry in Trinidad.
God spoke into his spirit these words, “Austin,
I want you to go back to Trinidad for I am not finished
in Trinidad. When you go back, you will not do what
you did before, it will be different.” At that
moment, the ministry of Trinidad Christian Center was
born in his spirit and as the vision continued to expand
he saw many people coming into the Center to be taught
the Word of God and develop a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ.
Apostle de Bourg is passionately driven to see the
Church fulfill its purpose on the earth, thus, hastening
the return of Jesus Christ. He is willing to train and
work with those who are called to this great and noble
task. With deep conviction, he is persuaded that this
world must return to God and to see believers develop
an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
