HAITI

A Report on our Mission to Haiti on February 26th through March 4, 2005

Newspaper reports on the open-air Crusade held in Haiti on Sunday 27th February 2005 hailed the event as ‘A Miracle’!

Newspaper Headlines read as follows:

  • Largest Crowd Ever at a 1-day Crusade!
  • Never Before! - A Gospel Crusade in Haiti - Unchallenged by Opposing Forces!

(Usually the witch doctors in opposition would be on site to create disturbances. This time they were silent!)

Nothing could have stopped this move of God. The victory was already won in the realm of the spirit. Month after month our ministry was locked in intense prayer, intercession and spiritual warfare on behalf of Haiti and this was the result. Numerous dreams and visions from the Lord had foretold of the victory that was in store and, right before our very eyes these visions materialized.

Television cameras beamed the night’s events live into the homes of those who were unable to attend, reaching further thousands of Haiti’s seven million populations adding to the thirty thousand gathered on site to receive a touch from Almighty God. It was the first time so many Christian denominations came together and that in itself was an achievement and blessing.

Undoubtedly the Healing Hand of the Lord rested upon many from the onset of the Crusade. As far as the eye could see, the limited lighting permitting, men and women everywhere twisted, turned and bended, examining their bodies in the areas of their pain and ailments, some even holding their walking sticks up in the air.

The Teaching Symposium for Pastors and church leaders from ten denominational began the following morning. Their hunger for God was the binding cord that united this group as they came, hoping to be equipped and empowered for more effective ministry.

Revelation through the Word of God came forth with clarity and with power. This word brought light into the people’s hearts and minds as it erased all deceptions, distortions and misgivings about fundamental Kingdom Principles; and deposited nuggets of truths that revived, restored and refreshed. The Breakthrough was phenomenal! At the end of the Conference everyone carried in their hearts a firm resolves to urgently return to their respective Assemblies and Church Committees to share what they had received.

We expect to be able to tangibly evaluate the outcome of “Mission Haiti” within six to twelve months. We continue to incessantly hold Haiti before the Lord in prayer, supplication, and intercession for Him to continue what He has started. There are many urgent needs in Haiti which need to be filled: schools, books, sound biblical teaching of all aspects of the word of God and television and radio ministries. Would you consider helping us provide these needed facilities to continue this work by way of contributions and personnel? Let us unite with God as He takes back the nations from the hand of the enemy.

Reports - Two Weeks Later!

Reports of the Lord’s work in Haiti are beginning to come in…..

Newspaper Headlines read:

  • Donors Meet to Speed Flow of aid to Haiti
  • Ex-soldiers surrender guns in Haiti

pastor and church group

Approximately 300 former soldiers decided to surrender their guns to Haitian police and agreed to be reintegrated into society. These ex-soldiers were instrumental in the uprising against the former president and still control much of the countryside while raging widespread gang related violence that has been responsible for hundreds of deaths. An ex-Army commander Emanuel “manno” Dieusel was quoted saying, “We are ready for peace and want to stabilize the country”.

According to the newspaper reports dated March 18th 2005, officials from ten countries and five multilateral institutions took part in a critical meeting in a bid to address overall delay of aid, which can be accredited to the hindering of the interim authority’s ability to govern. A United Nations envoy Juan Gabriel Valdes stated ahead of the meeting,” It’s urgent for the population to see progress in order to heal the society.”

“Mission Haiti” took place approximately one year after Haitian president was ousted from office under a great political uprising in the nation. At that time, International organizations and nations pledged financial support that would be used in the rebuilding of the devastated infrastructure in this nation. Yet, after a year, just a fraction, US$220 million of the total sum of US$1.3 billion was disbursed. But, the doors to international support have begun to open for this nation.

There is more to come based on the visions God has shown us. We want to see Haiti completely turn around and God’s absolute vision for Haiti fulfilled.

All the credit men might give to us we give to the Jesus Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing. It is by His grace the works of God are wrought.
